Our Mission

Our Mission is to assist low-income, elderly and/or disabled persons in Lee’s Summit Social Services’ service areas with emergency needs while enabling them to maintain their dignity and learning to set and meet realistic goals which will lead to greater independence.

About Us

Lee’s Summit Social Services was incorporated in March 1992 as a non-profit agency to benefit low-income families and individuals with basic needs such as food, utility and rent assistance, clothing, medical items, school supplies for children and holiday needs.

Thrift Store

Lee’s Summit Social Services was incorporated in March 1992 as a non-profit agency to benefit low-income families and individuals with basic needs such as food, utility and rent assistance, clothing, medical items, school supplies for children, and holiday needs. Our mission is to support the well-being of our community in various ways, ensuring that individuals facing diverse challenges receive the assistance they require.

Our thrift store is open to clients and the community. All proceeds and donations from the thrift store go straight back into the community.

Food Pantry/Bread Room

Our food pantry is open to clients by appointment and the bread room is open to the public during business hours. Non-perishable and perishable food donations are always welcomed.

Utility and Rent Assistance

All proceeds and donations, unless otherwise noted, are to help assist our clients with utility and rental assistance.
